Bathrooms
Bathrooms first and foremost need to be clean. Even a horrible colour scheme can be forgiven if the room is spotless.
1) Deep clean with specialist products. Everything from black grout to lime scale should be removed. There are specialist products on the market for this. Always follow the instructions and make sure the area is ventilated.
2) Carpets in a bathroom are unacceptable. It may be nice on your feet. It may have been really expensive but it is one of the biggest turnoffs for a potential buyer. In half a day the space could be tiled, had lino put in or fitted a wooden floor.
3) Remove the junk! A maximum of 2 products should be in the shower / by the bath (and they should be the nice products… not the head lice shampoo!) Also watch for the number of products you keep round your toilet. A bottle of bleach and a loo brush is the maximum allowed.
4) Towels should be clean, dry and folded neatly. You may not have a spa like bathroom but you want the room to feel luxurious and towels are the best way to do this. If you don’t have a set of towels, buy some. Matalan do them at very reasonable prices.
